After having several family members try to make this and not succeed or just not understanding what this should look like i decided to post a pictorial on how to make our favorite (including leah) meal called Pleasant pork!! If made correctly it is the best flavored meal ever!!
Step1: cut up onions, cut up garlic (or use 1tsp of minced garlic) USE HOWEVER MUCH YOU LIKE.. i usually use 1/2- 1 onion .. sautee onions and garlic in butter on stove until becoming translucent and your oldest has had enough and announces his eyes are hot! remove from pan and store off to side in bowl
Step 2: add pork to hot pan and brown both sides, then add LARGE amount of chicken broth, make with cubes or use jugs/cans I used 4 of the pink cupfuls seen below along with about 8 boulion cubes, you can increase this or decrease this amount by how much broth you want... we like alot!
step 3: boil pork and broth til pork done, remove pork ( i usually add my onions back in about 10min before pork is done, but you can add them back in after pork is done if you'd like) reduce broth by boiling to taste, then remove a little juice to mix with cornstarch in a seperate bowl, then add it back to broth to thicken the 'gravy'
stop the boiling and add in sourcream-however much you'd like, i usually add 1/4th cup..
AT THE SAME TIME MAKE YOUR HOMEMADE MASHED POTATOES AS YOU CAN SEE ME DOING IN THE PICTURES..
then i serve the sauce over the pork and mashed potatoes, YUMMY! If your pleasant pork did not look like this then it wasn't pleasant pork :)
