Talked with his teacher!

I sent a letter to school with jacob (well 2 letters- one was a handmade card thanking her for letting me join in on the class his first day) asking her how he's doing developmentally and also asking her what i could do at home to help her with him in class and just a few other concerns like how they have to sit in the hall in the morning and wait for the teachers to come and get them..
So anyway, she decided to call me instead to talk and it went great! She said he's doing wonderful, she can understand everything he says, he got into line like he was supposed to today, he did fine in the hall and he got on the bus with no problems... She said he did really well and she loved having him in her class.

After Jacob got home from school i also asked him what his teacher taught him today and he said "I gotta wash my hands to get all the germs off" while he rubbed his hands together and then i asked him what else his teacher taught him today and he said " you gotta blow the whistle and put all the balls back" and then i said anything else? and he said " you gotta stay in your seat! "

So i mentioned to the teacher about what i had asked him and his responses and she said that's really good!! They had a guest speaker come and talk about washing their hands and getting the germs off and then they practiced washing their hands with a special black light to make sure all the germs were gone, so he knew! and then she said Jacob really likes her whistle and has been telling her "you gotta blow your whistle, you gotta blow your whistle to clean up the balls", and also how they did tell him how he needed to stay in his seat during the ladies presentation about germs...

As far as advice, she really said he's doing well and isn't supposed to know his letters yet and at just turning 3 he should just be starting to learn his colors so to just talk about colors constantly throughout the day and write his name down all over the house and eventually he'll get it.. but otherwise she felt he was doing fine and i shouldn't worry...
