If you have not heard of a bumbo chair yet, it is a soft seat that can help strengthen the muscles of a baby for sitting. The bottom is lower than were the legs sit so the kid can't climb out, it is used for 6 weeks to 14 months.. I think Jacob might be a little small since he can't hold his head up totally on his own which is one of the requirements, but he did seem to enjoy it for the little bit of time he was in it. It was an easy way for him to sit and face us, it also seemed to be just the right position for pushing the fluffies out. (ie: gas)
