Sorry some of the pics are sideways- blogger doesn't have the option to rotate sadly..... but enjoy nonetheless :)
We had a great summer! Visited family in Kentucky and went to alot of parks and spent most evenings outside riding bikes, playing with playdough, and chalk and just enjoying each other. The kids are doing great! For the most part, little discipline is needed and we have changed up our wording to get the kids to obey better by instead of counting to 3 after much begging we go ahead and on the first order say 'that's 1' and so we've been getting them to listen better and obey the first time instead of me having to repeat and get to 3 and then they get their unwanted punishments..
As I am becoming more and more frugal as the bills pile up, we have now switched to cloth pullups at night! I sewed a bunch myself as i couldn't find any pattern to follow or find an idea that i thought i liked and i have to say its been working out great and i've sewn up all we'll need til the kids are out of diapers at night for 20 bucks.. saves me now 30 bucks a month on having to buy pullups!! Jacob has been having daytime incontinence or bladder spasms now for about 9+months and we are going to be putting him on meds finally to help with it, if it doesn't work then we will have to see a urologist to see what might be causing his daytime uncontrollable (nope, he can't control them at all and it really bothers him) sneaky pees... We've discussed it with the dr. several times now and he says they usually outgrow it in a few weeks/months but this has been going on almost a yr probably, so i'm definitely concerned as to why this is happening to him after having been pottytrained with no accidents with no problems before.. hmmm

For halloween we had some garage sale costumes: pumpkin for Leah and then the incredibles for jacob HOWEVER i lost jacob's and then my brother let us borrow darth vador, well the other cousins were being star wars too so we figured leah must be too, so of course she has to be Princess Leia!! and i decided to sew her up a dress and wig and belt (posted pic above) I think it turned out great and she'll fit right in with her brother and cousins.. OH and then i found jacob's costume days later, LOL soooo since the kids have multiple days they can dress up for halloween, we are just going to switch around the costumes and use all of them :)
I went back to work last month to try to help with the bills and its rough on my sleeping/mood for sure but you do what you have to do! And i am thankful to the Lord for providing a way to go back to work to make some money. And of course we haven't sold our house, still waiting for God's perfect timing on that!
Jacob is doing well in school. I stopped and talked to one of his teachers who said he is doing great and they aren't having any problems with him. They said he is easily distractable but that's not unusual for the boys she said.
The kids are now almost 3 and 5, sleep from about 8pm-730am and take a 2-3 hr nap in the afternoon still. They both like to eat for the most part and play together all day long. They are each others best friends and worst enemies as they probably fight over toys as much as they share and play with toys. They really do fairly well!! It is a joy being their mom and i just love watching them grow and wish it wouldn't go so fast.
Jimmy is still enjoying his new job but wishes we could move so the drive wouldn't be soo long. But otherwise things are going well with him. He is still back in school for human resources and will probably be for years to come :)
