NO MORE BOBO

I dreaded these days but I knew the time was coming soon.. this was the same age that i weaned Jacob from his pacifier and remember thinking it was a great age.. still baby enough to not remember much and not be able to argue it out in too many words yet old enough that we got its use out of it with long car rides and finally sleeping thru the night with self soothing... SO , good bye "bobo", good bye cute little saying "where'd my bobo go?" and goodbye holding up to 8 pacifiers at a time all throughout the house all day long and sticking your little fingers in the backs of them and sucking on them and sharing them with your baby dolls and with your brother and anybody else who you think might want to take a suck. Okay, its sad for me too.. A part of Leah's babyness goes away when the bobo went away.. but theirs happiness too, no more cleaning them, searching for that one lost one she wants, or always having to make sure i pack them and worried about what kind of germs might be growing on them!

so you ask where we are in the process? we are on night #3, surprisingly she's never cried more than 10 minutes before nap or bedtime, in fact NO tears tonight even! the only time she misses them is early in the morning or after nap when she wakes a little and needs something to soothe her back to sleep, then she starts crying for her beloved bobo's and they are no where to be found. I'm so proud of her!!

....and yes we are still nursing, usually 3-4 times a day, sometimes more, sometimes less and she shows no interest in stopping so not sure where we are with that whole process.. probably will let her continue over the winter, then start trying to cut her down slowly if she doesn't wean herself, lets hope she does!
