Well, on Wednesday morning, I decided to go back to L&D when the contractions were 3-5 minutes again and not stopping for almost 4 hours....
Once again they checked me and i made progress... now 2cm dilated/70% effaced/ and the baby has dropped to the point of almost ready for delivery (and i can definitely feel that)...
So, after 3 more shots of drugs, IV fluids, and 3 oral medications to stop labor.. FINALLY.. they were able to get them stopped... too bad these drugs had awful side effects on my part because i spent the night there with a booming headache/shaking/jitteryness/dizziness and just awful feeling..
I also have to take these pills when contractions come on at home.. the dr. wants me to try to hold this baby in for 11 more days as it would give her the best chance for survival without needing intervention.. i would be 36 wks then... But to be honest, last night out of nowhere the contractions came back fierce and strong to the point they felt like they did when i was about ready to push with jacob.. I had to call the dr and take a double dose of the medication he prescribed me because it wasn't stopping the contractions.. but thankfully after the second dose.. they dwindled down and stopped and i was able to sleep last night, but boy were those strong!!! The dr. told me he definitely doesn't think I'll make it to my due date now which is all the way to the end of JANUARY!
Now i am shaking like crazy this morning from the side effects and hoping to not have to take that drug constantly for the next almost 2 weeks...
We may be seeing a baby before the new years if these drugs dont' work and contractions just don't quit :)
